Southern Love

Jennifer and Steven's wedding took me down to the southern tip of North Carolina, to the absolutely charming coastal town of  Southport, North Carolina. Southport is situated along the shores of the Cape Fear River and Intracoastal Waterway at the river’s mouth of the Atlantic Ocean. I couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous couple and more wonderful back drop to their amazing day. Congratulations to you both, I wish you many many years of love and happiness! Coastal living

Took a few weeks off, and went down to my second home, the southern coast of North Carolina. I tried to make it a true vacation and not pick up the camera, but that'll never happen :) .. An amazing few weeks, with some amazing people that I hold dear to my heart.

From the Pierce floor to our door..

Some of you know that my other great passion, besides photography, is firefighting. I am a Lieutenant and 10 year member of the Ruckersville Volunteer Fire Company.. I recently got the chance to fly to Appleton, WI to pick up our brand new fire engine, Engine 21. Now who would pass up a trip to a firetruck factory, every little boys dream, right? :) .. Here are a few images of our trip and our 20 hour ride back to quarters.

Had the opportunity to photograph country music star Dierks Bentley at the Charlottesville Pavilion. Great atmosphere and great show!

Down on the farm

It has been a super busy Spring 2012. Between photographing, classes, and firefighting, its been hard to get the time to update this blog but in the next few weeks I should get caught up. :)

Spent a few days with the Charlottesville Fire Department, a great group of professionals. They really treated me like one of their own and I was able to snap a few great images of my time with them.

Army Strong

Saturday was a gorgeous day on grounds at UVA. Perfect for a quick photo shoot.  Shelly just graduated from U.S. Army EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) school and will be continuing to advance her skills while stationed at Fort Knox. Congrats Shelly!!

Rainbow over the Blue Ridge

Took a stroll into Shenandoah National Park  last week. After a good down poor that left me a little damp, I was able to capture a quick rainbow over Big Run.
