Out of the old, into the new.. Martha Jefferson Hospital

Sunday, August 28th was patient transfer day for Martha Jefferson. Rescue squads from around Central Virginia were on hand to assist in transporting patients from the old Martha Jefferson on Locust, to the brand new Martha Jefferson on Pantops. I arrived there at 430am to capture the days events. It was amazing to see the care and effort put forth to make this transition as smooth as possible. Here are just a few of my favorite images from that day.

High on the mountain top..

Took the evening off last night and went up to catch the sunset on Blackrock Summit in the Shenandoah National Park. It was a clear, beautiful evening, with a nip of Autumn in the air. It was nice to get away and enjoy the views for miles. Spent some time thinking of my late father Richard Crocker, he would have been 61 today and would have enjoyed the tranquility immensely. Miss you pops.

Life's a beach..

Here are a few of my favorite images I captured, while on a much needed vacation. Most are from the coast of southern North Carolina. A place known for great local seafood, cold beer, and friendly, down home locals.

Southern Love..

Had a blast shooting Jennifer and Steven's engagement photos by the Oak Island Pier in North Carolina! The sunset worked out perfectly. I can't wait to photograph their wedding in the beautiful coastal town of Southport, NC next summer!

'The' Martha Jefferson Hospital..

I spent the past week at Martha Jefferson Hospital, documenting their receptions, and open houses celebrating the completion of their fabulous new hospital. It was such a great pleasure to be a part of so many wonderful events. This new hospital will be such a benefit to our community, bringing with it some amazing technology and a true sense of tranquility with its gorgeous views and the attention paid to providing a relaxed comfortable environment for its patients. Thank you to all the staff at MJH for helping me capture the moments and John Robinson of Robinson Imagery for helping second shoot on some events!
